Garlicky Hummus

This hummus recipe is so good, you'll want to eat it every day, in sandwiches, on crackers, as a dip, sauce or salad dressing, by the spoonful.

Ingredients
- 1 15-oz can chickpeas, drained and rinsed
- 1/4 - 1/2 water. How much liquid you need depends on the amount of moisture in the beans. Start with the smaller amount.
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 cup Tahini
- 2 Tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil
- 1 1/2 Tablespoons fresh lemon juice
- 1 tsp ground cumin seed
- 1 large garlic cloves, crushed OR
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 jalapeno pepper, seeded and minced, OR a pinch of dried cayenne powder (Optional)

- Chopped parsley
- Paprika
Preparation
Step 1
In food processor, combine all ingredients. Transfer to a bowl, cover and refigerate if not using immediately. Just before serving, top with chopped parsley and a dusting of paprika. Serve with pita bread wedges.
