Ingredients

  • 1 c. flour, sifted

  • ½ tsp. salt

  • 1/3 c. shortening

  • 2-4 T. cold water

Directions

1. Combine flour & salt into large mixing bowl. Cut in fat until pea like pieces. Sprinkle water 1 T. at a time, tossing lightly with a fork. 2. Shape into ball 3. On lightly floured pastry cloth or mat, roll dough 1-2” larger than pie pan inverted, about 1/8” thick. 4. Fold pastry to fit into pie plate without stretching. Roll under edge & flute.
