  • 1/2 cup rice
  • 3/4 lb flank steak (1/4 inch slices)
  • 3 tsp reduced sodium soy sauce
  • 2 tsp toasted sesame oil
  • 1 Tbsp grated fresh ginger
  • 2 cloves minced garlic
  • 2 medium carrots thinly sliced
  • 1 med onion chopped
  • 1 medium red pepper thinly sliced
  • 8 oz snow peas
  • 3 Tbsp sliced almonds
  • 2 Tbsp hoisin sauce

Step 1

Cook rice as directed. Toss steak with 2 rsp of soy sauce. Heat 1 teaspoon oil in nonstick frying pan over medium high heat. Add ginger and garlic. Cook stirring for 30 seconds. Add steak and cook 2-3 minutes. Transfer to plate. Add 1 tsp oil to pan and cook carrots, onion and pepper until soften, about 3 minutes. Stir in snow peas and almonds and cook an additional 2 minutes. Add beef and juices and hoisin sauce and remaining 1 tsp soy sauce. Cook stirring one minute and serve over rice
