Toasting Bread

Ingredients

  • 2 pkg yeast
  • 1 c hot water
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 2 large cans evaporated milk
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1/2 c sugar
  • 1/2 c melted butter
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 1 c raisins
  • cinnamon

Preparation

Step 1

Dissolve yeast with water and 2 tbsp sugar.
Let bubble.
Warm evaporated milk and add to yeast mixture.
Add eggs, sugar, butter, salt, and raisins.
Keep adding flour until youc an handle the dough.
Knead 5 minutes.
Let rise until doubled (1 hour or more).
Divide into 6.
Roll out and spread with butter.
Sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon.
Put into greased coffee cans.
Let rise about 3/4 hour.
Preheat oven to 350.
Bake at 350 for 45 minutes.
