Ingredients
- 2 cups sifted self rising flour
- 1/4 cup shortening
- 3/4 cup milk
Preparation
Step 1
cut shortening into flour until particles like fine crumbs. add milk and stir with fork until dough leaves sides of bowl. turn dough into floured board. knead until smooth. roll dough out 1/2 inch thick and cut with floured cutter. place on lightly greased sheet. bake 10-12 minutes.
can use plain flour and 3 tsp baking powder and 3/4 tsp salt instead of self-rising
