Sour Cream Marble Pound Cake

Ingredients

  • 3 cups flour
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • ½ tsp. salt
  • 1 cup butter, softened
  • 2 cups sugar
  • ½ tsp. almond extract
  • 6 eggs
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 2 sq. unsweetened chocolate, melted and cooled

Preparation

Step 1

Combine flour, baking soda, and salt. Beat the butter, sugar, and extracts until light and fluffy. Add eggs, one at a time, beating on high until light and fluffy. Add the flour mix alternately with sour cream, and mix lightly after each addition. Divide batter into 2 bowls. Stir chocolate into 1 of the bowls. Spoon ½ the plain batter into a greased 9 inch pan. Pour the chocolate batter over the top with the remaining plain batter. Pull a knife through the batter and bake at 350 degrees for 75 – 90 minutes.
