Chocolate Truffle Pie
Abby made and said it was excellent
- 1 pre-made pie crust
- 12 oz bittersweet chocolate chopped
- 1 stick unsalted butter cut into small pieces
- 3 large eggs
- 3/4 cup heavy cream
- 1/3 cup sugar
- 2 tsp vanilla
- 1/2 tsp kosher salt
- whipped cream
in 2 qt heavy saucepan, melt chocolate and butter over medium heat, stirring until smooth. Remove from heat and let cool 5 minutes.
In a large bowl whisk eggs, cream, sugar, vanilla, and salt. Add chocolate mixture whisking until fully incorporated.
Pour filling into pie crust and bake 30-35 minutes at 350. Serve with whipped cream.
