Italian Sausage Soup

Ingredients

  • 1-lb italian sausage
  • 1 1/ 2 tsp crushed red pepper
  • 1 large onion diced
  • 4 tab bacon pieces
  • 2 tsp garlic puree
  • 10 cups water
  • 5 cubes chicken bouillon
  • 1 c heavy cream
  • 1 lb russett potatoes about 3 large
  • 1/4 bunch of kale

Preparation

Step 1

Sauté sausage and crushed red pepper in a large pot.
Drain excess fat.
In the same pan, sauté bacon, onions and garlic over low heat for 15 min until onions are soft. Add chicken bouillon and water to pot and heat until it boils.
Add sliced potatoes cook 1/2 hour; add heavy cream.
Cook until heated.
Stir in sausage and kale.
Heat through.
Serve.
