Ingredients

  • ½ cup wheat flour
  • ½ cup white flour
  • 1 T. oil
  • ¾ t. salt
  • 3/8 cup warm water

Step 1

Mix flour and salt together. Add oil and mix nicely. Make into dough with water, adding a little at a time. Wrap in Saran Wrap so it doesn’t go dry. Let dough stand a couple of hours. Divide dough into 8-10pieces. Make them into balls and press into circles.

Heat oil to just smoking. Dip one end of ball into oil. Roll evenly into 4” diameter circles- picking up to turn frequently. Drop in hot oil and press with slotted spoon until it puffs – hopefully!
