Bread Pudding

Ingredients

  • 6 – 8 cups stale bread, crumbled
  • 4 cups whole milk
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 8 tbs. butter, melted
  • 5 eggs
  • 2 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 cup raisins
  • 1 cup coconut
  • 1 cup chopped pecans
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1 tsp. nutmeg

Preparation

Step 1

Combine the liquid ingredients and mix into the bread. Mix should be very moist but not soupy. Add the remaining ingredients to the bread mix. Pour the bread mix into a buttered 9 x 12 inch baking dish. Place the dish into an un-preheated oven and bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour and 15 minutes until golden brown.
