Ingredients

  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 1/2 stick margarine
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1/2 tsp. baking soda
  • 1 sm package coconut (LIGHT)
  • 1/2 cup chopped nuts
  • 1 sm. jar apricot preserves

Preparation

Step 1

Cream margarine and sugar.
Blend in flour and baking soda.
Stir in coconut and nuts.

Put 3 cups of mixture in greased 9 x 13 pan and pat down firmly.
Bake at 400 for 10 minutes.
Remove from oven.
Spread apricot preserve over mixture and sprinkle remaining flour mixture and pat down a LITTLE
Return to oven at 300 for 25 minutes.

Cool and cut into squares
