Homemade Turkey Pot Pie (Lori Basnett)

Ingredients
- Sauce
- 1 Tbls flour
- 1 Tbls butter
- 1 C liquid
- Double pie crust (one on tope and bottom, or just top) or you can use biscuits, whatever you like. It is fun to make them in individual baking cups - like for French Onion Soup and put the biscuit dough on top of that

Step 1
Medium casserole dish 3 C of chicken stock, 1 C light cream, 4 Tbls of flour and 4 Tbls butter
If the boiling suace is not thick as you want, here is a quick trick, before adding the turkey, spinkle 1-2 tbls of flour on it and toss so all pieces are coated. The put turkey in the sauce. Let the sauce come to a boil, pour into casserole. As it cooks in the oven it will thicken.
In large sauce pan, saute onions, carrots, green beans (clean out fridge) thyme bit of sage and butter. Cook until carrots are soft
Add flour over veggies and stir. Let flour cook for a couple of minutes making sure it doesn't burn. Add chopped turkey and seasonings (you will need salt) to taste
Pour into pie plate or casserole dish
Bake unti pie crust or biscuits are cooked (15-20 minutes)
