Ingredients
- 1 C dried kidney beans
- 1/2 C dried pinto beans
- 1 package (1 1/4oz) taco seasoning mix
- 1 package (1oz) buttermilk salad dressing mix
- 3 Tbsp dried onion - minced
- 1 tsp chili powder
- 1/4 tsp cumin
- 4 C water
- 1 can diced tomatoes and green chiles
- 1 can (16oz) tomato sauce
- 1 lb ground beef - cooked and drained

Preparation
Step 1
Place beans in a large bowl, cover with water and soak 6-8 hours or overnight. Drain and add to a Dutch oven. Add all dry ingredients. Add remaining ingredients.
Heat to boiling, cover and reduce heat to low. Simmer for 2 hours or until beans are tender. Serve with corn or tortilla chips and shredded cheese.
