Ingredients

    C dried kidney beans

  • 1/2

    C dried pinto beans

  • 1

    package (1 1/4oz) taco seasoning mix

  • 1

    package (1oz) buttermilk salad dressing mix

  • 3

    Tbsp dried onion - minced

  • 1

    tsp chili powder

  • 1/4

    tsp cumin

  • 4

    C water

  • 1

    can diced tomatoes and green chiles

  • 1

    can (16oz) tomato sauce

  • 1

    lb ground beef - cooked and drained

Directions

Place beans in a large bowl, cover with water and soak 6-8 hours or overnight. Drain and add to a Dutch oven. Add all dry ingredients. Add remaining ingredients. Heat to boiling, cover and reduce heat to low. Simmer for 2 hours or until beans are tender. Serve with corn or tortilla chips and shredded cheese.
