Ingredients
- 8 golden delicious apples-peeled, cored and cut in 1/3 inch slices.
- 1 C. + 3 T. brown sugar
- 1 C. old fashioned oats
- 1 C. flour
- 1 tsp. cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp. nutmeg
- 3/4 C. margarine

Step 1
Preheat oven to 350. Grease a 13 X 9 glass pan. Combine apples and 3 T. sugar in a large bowl; toss to coat. Transfer to prepared baking dish. Combine remaining sugar (1 C.), oats, flour, cinnamon and nutmeg in a medium sized bowl. Add margarine and rub in with fingertips until pea size clumps form. Sprinkle oat mixture over apples. Bake until apples are tender, about 1 hour. Serve warm with vanilla ice cream.
