Ingredients
- 1 clove garlic, crushed or put through a press
- 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- 3 Tbsp red wine vinegar
- 1 egg, coddled (cooked in shell for 1 minute)
- 3/4 tsp Dijon mustard
- 1 head romaine lettuce, torn into 2-inch pieces
- 1/2 cup croutons
- juice of 1/2 lemon
- Parmesan cheese
- Pepper, freshly groun
Preparation
Step 1
In a small bowl, combine crushed garlic, Worcestershire sauce, vinegar, egg, mustard, and lemon juice. Add a grind or two of fresh pepper and mix well. Celan and dry the lettuce on paper towels and add to mixing bowl with dressing. Toss lettuce, coating each piece well. Add croutons and sprinkle entire salad with Parmesan cheese. Toss again and serve.
