Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 2 tbsp. flour
  • 1/2 tsp. ground nutmeg
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1/8 tsp. salt
  • 2 peeled and diced apples (granny smith)
  • 2 rolls 9" refrigerated pie crusts
  • Sugar
  • Parchment paper

Preparation

Step 1

Line large baking sheet with parchment paper. Combine dry ingredients. Unroll pie crusts on floured surface.Cut out 4" rounds (martini glass works). Re-roll scraps and cut into more rounds. Toss apples with dry ingredients. Brush 1/2 of rounds with beaten egg. Place diced apples on rounds. Roll top half of pastry a bit wider to fit over top and down sides. Seal edges. Brush tops with egg and sprinkle with sugar. Cut small vent in top.Bake at 350 for about 20 min.
