White Chocolate Fudge

Ingredients

  • 3 cups granulated sugar
  • 3/4 cup butter or margarine
  • 2/3 cup half and half
  • 12 ounces white chocolate
  • 1 jar (7 ounces) marshmallow cream
  • 1 cup coconut
  • 1 cup chopped toasted almonds
  • Small pieces of candied red and green cherries, for garnish

Preparation

Step 1

In a large, heavy saucepan, combine sugar, butter, and half and half. Bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring constantly. Continue stirring and boil 5 minutes. Remove from heat. Add chocolate and stir until melted. Stir in remaining ingredients. Pour into a greased 13-by-9-by-2-inch pan; cool. Cut into squares. If desired, decorate with pieces of red and green cherries to resemble holly.
