Chicken Burgers

Ingredients

  • 1 lb. ground chicken
  • 2 T chopped cilantro
  • 1 T seasoned breadcrumbs
  • 1 t salt
  • ½ t black pepper
  • 2 tomatoes
  • 1/3 cup shredded Cheddar cheese
  • Whole grain buns

Preparation

Step 1

Mix chicken, cilantro, breadcrumbs, salt, and pepper. Form into 4 (1 inch thick) patties. Coat grill with cooking spray. Grill patties and 2 tomatoes, halved flesh side down, over medium high heat 6 minutes, turning, until burgers are cooked through and tomatoes are charred. Top with 1/3 cup shredded Cheddar; let melt. Serve on buns with chopped tomatoes.
