1 box german chocolate cake mix, not with pudding
1 box confectionery sugar
1 8oz bar cream cheese, softened
1 cup chopped pecans
¼ cup butter or margarine
1 small bag coconut
Directions Preheat oven to 350F degrees. Prepare cake mix by the directions on box. In the meantime, spread the coconut on bottom of a 9x13-inch cake pan, then place chopped pecans on top of coconut, cover this with cake mix. Combine cream cheese, confectionery sugar and butter in a large bowl. Stir together until well blended and not lumpy. Pour this mixture in the middle of unbaked cake. Bake approximately 35 to 45 minutes. Let cool then remove from cake pan by inverting on to serving dish. WARNING! This cake cannot be tested for doneness because of the cream cheese in the center. If it looks ugly it's supposed to be.
