Ingredients
- 4 cups apples, pared and sliced thin
- 1 cup flour
- 1 1/2 cups sugar
- 1 egg, well beaten
- 1/2 cup evaporated milk
- 1/2 cup butter, melted
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
- 3/4 cup walnuts
Preparation
Step 1
In a small bowl, mix together 1/2 cup sugar, cinnamon, and 1/2 of the walnuts. Place the sliced apples in the bottom of a greased baking dish; Sprinkle with the cinnamon-sugar mixture. In a medium bowl, sift together the flour and sugar. Add the egg, milk, butter, flour, and 1 cup sugar; Beat the mixture until smooth. Pour the mixture over the apples. Sprinkle the remaining nuts over the top. Bake at 325 degrees Fahrenheit for 45 - 50 minutes.
