Snickerdoodle Cookies

Ingredients

  • 1/2 c. margarine, softened
  • 1 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1/2 c. shortening
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 3/4 c. flour
  • 2 tsp. cream of tartar
  • 2 tsp. baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp. salt

Preparation

Step 1

Heat oven to 400 degrees. Mix thoroughly butter, shortening, sugar and eggs. Blend in flour, cream of tartar, baking soda, and salt. Shape dough by rounded teaspoonfuls into balls. Mix together 2 tablespoons sugar and 2 teaspoons cinnamon. Roll balls in mixture. Place 2 inches apart onto ungreased cookie sheet. Bake for 1- to 13 minutes.
