Ingredients

  • 10 c thinly sliced yellow onions
  • 1/2 c butter
  • 2 cans (10.5oz) condensed beef broth
  • 1 1/3 c white wine
  • french bread slices
  • shredded mozzarella

Preparation

Step 1

1) melt butter in saucepan. add onions and cook til soft but not limp,

2) place in slow cooker. add broth, wine and 1 1/3c water. cover and cook low 3-4 hours.

3) lightly toast bread on both sides. sprinkle with cheese and broil til melted. place on bowls of soup
