  • 2 1/4 cups flour
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 cup softened butter
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar (packed)
  • 2 tsp vanilla
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 cups bittersweet chocolate chips
  • 1 cup walnuts or pecans (optional)



Step 1

Preheat oven to 375 degrees

Stir flour with baking soda and salt and set aside

In large mixing bowl beat butter, sugar, and brown sugar at medium speed until creamy

Add vanilla and eggs

Gradually blend in dry ingredients into creamed mixture

Stir in chocolate chips and nuts

Drop onto ungreased cookie sheets and bake from 9 to 11 minutes or until golden brown
