Jay's Spaghetti Sauce and Meatballs

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 lb. ground beef
  • 28 oz. jar Prego Meat Flavored Spaghetti Sauce
  • Two 4 oz. cans Green Giant Mushroom Stems and Pieces
  • 4 oz. can tomato paste
  • 1 1/8 cup water
  • 3 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp garlic salt
  • Parmesan Cheese

Preparation

Step 1

Mold the ground beef into small meatballs and brown them thoroughly in a large skillet. Add the tomato paste, 1 cup of water, and garlic powder to the meatballs. Cover and simmer until the mixture is tomato sauce is mixed in thoroughly; *Stir often*. In a separate skillet, add the mushrooms, 1/8 cup water, and sprinkle the Parmesan Cheese on top. Simmer the mixture. To a large pot, add the mushroom mixture, spaghetti sauce, meatballs with their sauce, and garlic salt; Simmer and stir. Serve the meatballs and sauce over spaghetti or vermicelli noodles.
