Chocolate Cream Pie Filling

Ingredients

• 3 egg yolks, beaten
• 1 1/2 cup white sugar
• 3 Tbsp. corn starch
• 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
• 1/2 tsp. salt
• 3 cups milk
• 1 Tbsp. butter
• 1 1/2 tsp vanilla extract

Preparation

Step 1

Cream together egg yolks & sugar. Mix in corn starch, cocoa powder and salt. Add milk and stir gently.
Pour mixture into a large sauce pan and cook over med heat, stirring constantly until boiling. Remove from heat, stir in butter and vanilla extract. Cool slightly.
