Fillet Chicken Sandwich 0 Picture

  • 1/3 cup hot pepper sauce
  • 2/3 cup water
  • 1 cup flour
  • Salt and pepper
  • 4 tsp. cayenne pepper
  • 1 tsp. onion powder
  • ½ tsp. paprika
  • 1/8 tsp. garlic powder
  • 4 chicken breast fillets
  • 4 buns
  • 8 tsp. mayonnaise
  • 4 lettuce leaves
  • 4 tomato slices

Step 1

Preheat oil to 350 degrees. Combine the pepper sauce and water in a bowl. Combine the flour, salt, peppers, onion powder, paprika, and garlic powder in another bowl.

Pound each of the chicken pieces with a mallet until 3/8 inch thick and trim to fit onto the bun. Coat each fillet with flour and then dredge in the diluted pepper sauce. Coat the chicken once more in the flour mixture. Fry the chicken for 8-12 minutes until light brown and crispy. Drain. Grill the face of each bun and spread some mayonnaise on each of the inverted buns. Place a tomato over the mayo then stack a leaf of lettuce. Add the chicken to the bun and combine. Serve hot.
