Ingredients

  • 12 tbs water
  • 8 tbs ketchup
  • 3 tbs soy sauce
  • 3 tbs corn starch
  • 4 tbs honey
  • 2 tsp crushed red pepper
  • 1 tsp ground ginger
  • 1 tbs evoo
  • 1/3 cup minced onion
  • 4 large cloves garlic
  • 1 tbs Mai Ploy (or eqivalent) sweet chile sauce
  • 12 oz uncooked shrimp or lobster tail or combination
  • 1 tbs butter
  • 1 package of stir fry veggies (if desired, but I like the shrimp etc. over rice without the veggies)

Preparation

Step 1

Mix water, ketchup, soy sauce, cornstarch, honey, crushed red peppers and ground ginger in a bowl and set aside.

heat oil and butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Stir in onion and garlic and cook until carmelized and aromatic (1-2 minutes) Stir in shrimp and/or lobster and fry until brown and beginning to crisp.

Stir in sauce and cook until bubbly and thickened.

Add veggies if desired

Serve with or over rice
