Pears with Streusel Topping
Great for the times you need a dessert and having canned pears on hand
- 1 T butter or margarine
- 2 T dried bread crumbs
- 2 T chopped walnuts
- 1/4 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1 16 or 17 oz can pear halves, drained
Over low heat in saucepan melt butter or margarine and stir in bread crumbs, walnuts and cinnamon until well combined.
In pie plate, arrange drained pear halves cut side up. Spoon some breadcrumb mixture onto each pear half. Bake at 350 for 25 minutes or until topping is slightly browed. Makes 5 servings 90 calories each.
