  • 1/2 Cup powdered sugar
  • 2/3 cup evaporated milk
  • 1 tsp coconut extract
  • 2 cups water scant
  • Cool whip

Step 1

Prepare cake mix by directions, only add 1 tsp coconut extract. Bake. While cake is hot poke holes all over it.

Mix powdered sugar, evaporated milk and 1 tsp coconut extract. Add enough water to make scant 2 cups. Heat and pour over cake, put a little coconut in milk before heating, seems to add a little more flavor.
Let cake get cold, cver with cool-whip, sprinkle with coconut and pat the coconut softly, so it doesn't all fall off when cut.
