Joan's Sugar Cookies

A recipe given to me by a state senator's wife, who is a good friend. Our daughters loved these cookies!

Ingredients

• 1 cup oil
• 1 cup butter
• 1 cup powdered sugar
• 1 cup sugar
• 2 eggs
• 1/2 tsp cream of tartar
• 1/2 tsp soda
• 1/2 tsp salt
• 4 tsp vanilla
• 5 1/2 cups flour

Preparation

Step 1

Mix all ingredients and roll out. Use powdered sugar unstead of flour on surface is dough is sticky. Cut into shapes and bake at 350 degrees 8-10 minutes. May be iced or decorated as desired.
