MAPLE BUTTER TARTS

Got this recipe from Canadian Living, July 2013 - absolutely delicious !!

Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup maple syrup
  • 1/3 cup melted butter
  • 2 eggs, slightly beaten
  • 1 tbsp cider vinegar (I used caramel balsamic)
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • OPTIONAL: 1/2 cup chopped pecans

Preparation

Step 1

Whisk together brown sugar, maple syrup, butter, eggs, vinegar and salt. Put pecans in bottom of pastry crusts. Evenly distribute among pastry shells.

Bake in 350 degree oven for 20-25 minutes. Cool in pan on rack for 20 minutes.
