- 1 LARGE ONION, SLICED
- 1 LG CLOVE GARLIC, CRUSHED
- 1 LG GREEN PEPPER, CUT IN 1/2 " WIDE STRIPS
- 3 T OIL (OLIVE IF POSSIBLE) DIVIDED
- 1 #N ROUND STEAK, 1" THICK, CUT 1/4 " WIDE STRIPS
- 1/2 TSP OREGANO
- 1/4 TSP EACH SALT & PEPPER
- 1/4 C DRY RED WINE
- 1 1/2 C TOMATO SAUCE (RECIPE FOLLOWS)

Step 1
IN LG HEAVY SKILLET OR DUTCH OVEN SAUTE ONION, GARLIC & PEPPER CRISP TENDER REMOVE & RESERVE. HEAT REM. 1 T OIL, ADD MEAT AND BROWN WELL. SEASON WITH OREGANO, SALT & PEPPER STIR IN WINE, TOMATO SAUCE, & ONION, pEPPER MIXTURE. COVER, SIMMER 15-20 MINUTES OR TILL MEAT IS TENDER.
