To be used with German Chocolate Cake. Frosting tops only.

Ingredients

  • 1 c evaporated milk
  • 1 c sugar
  • 3 slightly beaten egg yolks
  • 1/2 c butter or margaring
  • 1 t vanilla
  • 1 1/3 c flaked coconut
  • 1 c chopped pecans

Cooking time 20mins

Preparation

Step 1

In a sauce pan:

Combine milk, sugar,egg yolks,butter and vanilla.

Cook and stir over medium heat til thickened. About 12 minutes.

Add coconut and nuts.

Stir til thickened and cooled.

Frost the tops only of the cake.
