Sirloin Tips in Mushroom Gravy

This was a meal that my Mom used to make often and it has such a savory flavor.

Ingredients

  • 2 1/2 lbs. Beef Round Tip Roast Cap Off OR Round Steak
  • Two or Three 4 oz. cans of Mushroom Stems and Pieces
  • Two 14 oz. cans Beef Broth
  • 3 cups rice, cooked
  • 1 Tbsp butter OR margarine
  • Wondra Shaker Flour

Preparation

Step 1

Cut the steak into squares. Cook the steak in a large pot with the Beef Broth until the steak is ALMOST cooked through; Set aside. In a skillet, add the butter and mushrooms. Sauté the mushrooms and drain. Strain the beef from the Beef Broth. Cover the beef and keep warm. Add the sautéed mushrooms to the pot with the Beef Broth. Over MEDIUM heat, slowly whisk in the Shaker Flour until gravy is formed. Add the beef back to the pot and simmer for 5-7 minutes. Serve hot over rice.
