Ingredients

  • Two lbs. of bacon (1lb for stuffing 1lb for covering Turkey
  • 2-3 onions
  • small loaf of white bread
  • milk or water
  • two eggs
  • salt/pepper
  • Crisco shortening

Preparation

Step 1

Fry bacon in pan with onions
separately in bowl cut up small loaf of bread (pieces)
add milk until soft
When bacon and onions are fried pour in bowl with bread
then crush together
Beat 2 eggs then put in salt and pepper and pour into bowl MIX


PAN
line pan with crisco (sides an bottom)
put turkey in pan and stuff turkey (sew pocket)
put lumps of crisco in all four side of pan
cover turkey with strips of bacon (1 lb)
salt the outside of turkey
Set oven at 325 - degrees for an hour then raise to 350 - cover with aluminum foil
1/2 hour prior to taking turkey out take foil off and let turkey brown
