Corn-and-Crab Chowder

Ingredients

  • 6 bacon slices – cooked crispy
  • 2 celery ribs, diced
  • 1 medium onion – diced
  • 1 medium bell pepper – diced
  • 1 jalapeno pepper – seeded and diced
  • 1 small can green chilies
  • 1 (32 oz) container chicken broth
  • 3 Tbsp flour (whisk the broth and flour together to blend)
  • 2 cans creamed corn
  • 1 lb. crabmeat (fresh or imitation)
  • 1 cup whipping cream
  • ¼ cup fresh chopped cilantro
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp pepper

Preparation

Step 1

Add all the ingredients to the crock pot. Start on high for 1 hour – then turn to low. It can cook all day if you like.
