  • 3 cups flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 medium onion finely chopped
  • 1 stick butter
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 3 cream
  • salt to taste

Preparation

Step 1

Dumplings: Stir together flour, salt, and baking powder. Beat eggs, add water to egg mixture and then stir into dry ingredients. Drop into boiling salted water. Cook 10-15 min. Drain.

Cream sauce: While dumplings are boiling, saute onions in butter, after onions are transparent stir in flour to make a rue, stir in cream, bring to boil to thicken.

Pour cream sauce over dumplings.
