Pork Sausage & Rice Casserole

A hearty make-ahead casserole to feed the masses with that is made with sausage and rice.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb. Roll Owens Sausage
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 1 small bell pepper, chopped
  • 1 can condensed Cream of Chicken Soup
  • 1 can condensed Cream of Mushroom
  • 1 cup uncooked rice
  • 3/4 cup water

Preparation

Step 1

Brown sausage; add sauteed chopped onion and pepper to meat. Then mix rice, water, soups into meat mixture. Pour into casserole dish that has been sprayed with Pam. Cover and bake 1-1/2 hrs in 350 deg. oven.

**This dish may be prepared ahead and refrigerated overnight.

Notes:

This is a great dish for potluck dinners, etc. I serve with a vegetable, salad and dinner rolls. I don't add salt but you may do so to taste. If using "hot" sausage, additional pepper may not be needed.
