Chicken Stew

Ingredients

  • 1 chicken cut-up
  • 2 celery stalks sliced
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 can water
  • Salt and pepper
  • Flour
  • 1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • ¼ lb. Bacon diced
  • 1 clove garlic minced
  • 1 onion chopped
  • 1 pkg. frozen peas
  • 3-4 carrots sliced

Preparation

Step 1

1. Dredge chicken in flour, salt, and pepper.
2. Brown bacon in skillet. Remove bacon and drain.
3. Brown chicken in bacon grease; more fat may be needed.
4. Place bacon, chicken, and all remaining ingredients, except peas, in large pot.
5. Cook until chicken is done, add peas about 30 minutes before stew is ready to serve.
