Sour Cream Pound Cake

Ingredients

  • 2 sticks butter or margarine
  • 3 cups sugar
  • 5 eggs, separated
  • 1/2 pint sour cream plus 1 heaping tsp
  • 3 cups flour
  • 1/4 tsp baking soda
  • 2 tbsp vanilla
  • 1 tbsp almond extract

Preparation

Step 1

Blend the sugar and butter. Add the egg yolks and beat. Add the sour cream and flavorings. Add (one cup at a time) flour into which soda has been added. Beat egg whites to stiff peaks and fold into the flour mixture. Bake at 350 for 1-1/2 hours.
