Oreo Cake

This is a recipe that my sister-in-law made one year for our family reunion and my family loves it!

Ingredients

  • Three 3.4 oz. packages Instant Vanilla Pudding
  • 8 oz. tub Cool Whip
  • 1 stick butter
  • 16 oz. pkg Oreo Cookies
  • 6 cups milk

Preparation

Step 1

Crumble 1/2 of the package of Oreo cookies and place in a large bowl. Melt the butter in a medium pot. Pour the melted butter over the crumbled Oreo cookies and mix together to coat all the Oreos. Spread the cookie crumble mixture onto the bottom of a 9” x 13” pan and pat the mixture down firmly. In a separate large bowl, mix the pudding mix and milk together until the mixture is thick. Add the Cool Whip to the pudding mixture and mix together completely using a whisk. Pour the Cool Whip mixture over the cookie crumble crust. Crumble the remaining Oreo cookies and sprinkle over the top of the Cool Whip mixture. Refrigerate or freeze until ready to serve. If the cake is frozen, allow it to sit out for 10 - 15 minutes before trying to cut the cake.
