Preparation

Step 1

Prep 30 minutes. Cook 25-30 minutes.

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Butter and flour 9x13 inch baking pan. Line with aluminum foil, leaving pieces hanging over the sides. Place butter and bittersweet chocolate in a double boiler. Stir over barely simmering water until melted. Remove from heat and set aside to cool. Beat eggs and both sugars in a large bowl with an electric mixer at high speed until creamy. With mixer on low speed, beat in salt and chocolate mixture, followed by the vanilla. Gradually beat in the flour. Stir in milk chocolate. Spoon batter into prepared pan. Bake until brownies are set in middle, 25-30 minutes. Toothpick inserted to center will come out slightly gooey. Cool in pan on wire rack for 30 minutes. Use overhanging foil to lift brownies out of the pan. Remove foil and place on cutting board. Chill in refrigerator for 15 minutes before cutting.
