Ingredients

  • 3 lbs round steak (1 1/2 inches thick)
  • 1 1/2 tsps Lawry's Seasoned Salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 c flour
  • 2 Tbsp cooking oil
  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 1 rib celery, chopped
  • 1 bell pepper, chopped
  • 1 (6-oz) can tomato paste
  • 3 Tbsp steak sauce
  • 2 c water

Step 1

Season steak with seasoned salt and pepper. Dredge in flour and brown in cooking oil in large skillet. When brown on both sides, remove steak to platter.

Add onions, celery and bell pepper to skillet and cook over medium heat for 10 minutes. Add tomato paste and cook 10 minutes more, mixing well. Gradually add water and mix until smooth. Add steak sauce.

Place steak back in gravy. Put lid on skillet and cook over low heat for 1 1/2 hours, basting occasionally.

Serve over rice.
