Gayle's Cornbread Dressing
Creamy and delicious cornbread stuffing, with sausage is a perfect side dish for your Thanksgiving feast, or any time of the year.
Ingredients
- 1 loaf bread (good quality), toasted and torn into pieces
- 4 pans Jiffy cornbread, cooled and crumbled
- 2 cans chicken broth
- 2 cans cream of mushroom soup
- 2 cans cream of chicken soup
- 2 cans cream of celery soup
- 2 packages Lipton Onion Soup Mix
- 1 pounds breakfast sausage, cooked to small chunks
- 3 eggs, beaten
- 1/2 cup fresh sage, finely chopped
- Salt/pepper to taste

Step 1
Preheat oven to 350°F.
In a large, disposable pan, combine the toasted bread, cornbread, broth, soups and soup mix. Mix with your hands until combined well. Add the eggs and continue to mix with your hands. Add sausage and seasonings into the cornbread mixture and combine. The mixture should be very wet but not pourable.
Bake for at least 1 hour or until heated through and golden brown.
