Ingredients

  • 1 - 1 lb loaf raisin bread, torn into small pieces

  • 3 ¼ c milk

  • ¾ c Irish cream liqueur

  • 1 TB butter

  • 1 ½ c sugar

  • 4 eggs

  • 1 TB vanilla

  • ½ c raisins

  • SAUCE:

  • 1 c powdered sugar

  • /2 c butter

  • 1 egg

  • ¼ c Irish cream

Directions

Combine bread, milk, liqueur, cover and refrigerate 1 hour; stir occasionally. Preheat over 350. Butter 9x13 baking dish. Whisk together sugar, eggs, vanilla. Pour into bread, stir. Fold in raisins. Spoon pudding into baking dish, bake 50 – 60 minutes or until golden and set. Combine sugar and butter and liqueur in top of double boiler. Stir until sugar dissolves. Remove from heat, whisk in egg. Pour over bread pudding, place under broiler until bubbly and brown. Serve warm.
