Chili

Ingredients

  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1 cup chopped onion
  • 1 1-lb. can tomatoes, broken up
  • 1 1-lb. can dark red kidney beans, drained
  • 1 8-oz. can tomato sauce
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 to 2 tsp. chili powder
  • 1 bay leaf

Preparation

Step 1

In heavy skillet, cook meat, onion until meat is lightly browned and onion is tender. Stir in remaining ingredients and cover and simmer for one hour. Remove bay leaf and serve with shredded cheddar cheese.
