Ingredients
- Sauce:
- 1 (284-ml) can tomato soup
- 3 (156-ml) cans tomato paste
- 3 cups (750-ml) tomato juice
- 1/2 cup (125-ml) parmesan cheese
- 1/3 cup (75-ml) sugar
- 1 to 2 small dried red peppers, crushed
- 2 tablespoons (50-ml) chopped parsley
- 1/2 teaspoon (2-ml) dried oregano
- 1/2 teaspoon dried sage
- 1/2 teaspoon poultry seasoning
- 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
- Meat Sauce:
- 1/3 cup (75-ml) olive or vegetable oil
- 1 pound ground beef *
- 1 pound ground pork*
- 2 large onions, chopped
- 2 garlic cloves, crushed
- 1 cup chopped celery
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon salt
- * You can replace meat & pork with 2 pounds of ground Turkey

Preparation
Step 1
For sauce, combine all ingredients in large saucepan. Bring to a boil, stirring frequently. Reduce heat to low, cover and cook for one hour. Check from time to time to make sure mixture does not stick to the bottom of the pan.
For meat mixture, heat oil in saucepan. Add turkey and brown thoroughly. Add onions, garlic, celery, pepper and salt. Cover and simmer over low heat for one hour.
Add meat mixture to sauce, cover and cook over low heat for two hours. Stir occasionally to prevent sticking. Divide sauce into desired portions and freeze
