Cinnamon Swirl Bread Pudding

Ingredients
- 3 tablespoons butter
- 6 –8 slices cinnamon swirl bread
- 1/2 cup raisins
- 2 large eggs, beaten
- 2 cups milk
- 1/2 cup plus 1 tablespoon sugar, divided
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 3/4 teaspoon cinnamon, divided
- Whipped cream
Preparation
Step 1
Preheat oven to 350°F. Place the butter in a 11/2-quart baking dish. Bake until melted, about 5 minutes.
Cut the bread slices into1-inch cubes, making4 cups. Add the bread cubes and raisins to the butterin the baking dish. Stirgently to coat.
Place the eggs in a medium bowl. Add the milk, 1/2 cupsugar, the vanilla and 1/2 tsp. cinnamon. Stir until blended. Pour over the bread cubes.
Combine the remaining sugar and cinnamon in a small bowl. Sprinkle over the bread mixture. Bake until a knife inserted in the center comes out clean, 40–45 minutes. Serve warm, topped with whipped cream.
