  • 2 Steaks (filet, rib eye, sirloin, flat iron, or your favorite steak)
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1 Tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/4 Cup cabernet sauvignon wine
  • 3 Tablespoons crumbled blue cheese

Preparation

Step 1

Directions:

1. Heat a large nonstick skillet over medium-high heat for 1 minute.

2. Meanwhile, rub all sides of steaks with olive oil and the Salt and pepper to taste.

3. Add a few drops of oil to the pan and swirl to lightly coat.

4. Put steak in skillet and sear for 1 minute per side.

5. Turn heat to medium-low and cook, turning every 2 minutes, until steak is almost
cooked to your liking (it will continue to cook in Step 3).

6. Turn burner back to medium-high, remove pan from heat, and add wine and blue
cheese.

7. Wait until the wine has stopped steaming and return pan to the heat.

8. Simmer until sauce thickens then turn to coat the steaks with sauce. Serve immediately.
